SENTELLE, Circuit Judge:

Appellants James M. Stephens and Tony Anthony McCray appeal from convictions of drug violations. We find no merit in Stephens’s assignments of error and affirm his conviction for distribution of cocaine base within 1,000 feet of a school, 21 U.S.C. § 860(a) (1988). We agree with McCray that there was insufficient evidence to support a verdict on the element of intent in his conviction for possession with intent to distribute cocaine base within 1,000 feet of a school, also a violation of 21 U.S.C. § 860(a).…
