Hilroy Anthony Gray, Noel S. Brett and Carl A. Williams 1 were arrested at a crack cocaine house in Kansas City, Missouri, on November 4, 1987. They were each indicted on three counts: conspiracy to distribute cocaine in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 846 and 841(b)(1)(C) (Count I); possession, with intent to distribute, of five grams or more of cocaine in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1) and (b)(1)(B) (Count II); and use of a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking offense in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c) (Count III).
