This appeal comes to us from the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, where appellant Steven Fearwell was convicted under 18 U.S.C. § 371 (1976) 1 of conspiracy to violate the Food Stamp Act, 7 U.S.C. § 2023 (1976). 2 On February 14, 1978 appellant was sentenced to a prison term of from 20 months to five years to run concurrently with any other sentence he was then serving.
