GREENBERG, Circuit Judge.
I. INTRODUCTION
This case comes before this court on Fah-im Sabir’s appeal from the sentence the dis trict court imposed on him after he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute more than 100 grams of heroin contrary to 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1), in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846. Sabir entered the plea pursuant to a plea agreement which stipulated that he had demonstrated affirmative acceptance of responsibility entitling him to a 3-level decrease in his offense level pursuant to U.S.S.G. § 3E1.1 (“section 3E1.1”).
