This was a proceeding under the act for the incorporation and regulation of life assurance companies (Acts 1869, p. 26; Wag. Stat. 738), instituted by the superintendent of the Insurance Department to restrain the respondent from doing further business as a life insurance company, and to Avind up its affairs.
