This is a proceeding in equity for general settlement brought by the lessee of certain premises against the original contractor and a number of subcontractors claiming mechanics’ liens. Henry A. Bollberg and the appellant, Christina Bollberg, were owners of the premises in question in joint tenancy. They were not made parties to the original suit but the general contractor and the subcontractors filed answers to the bill in the nature of intervening petitions, and they named the Bollbergs as parties defendant, but without leave of court having been obtained to add them as parties to the suit.…
