MEMORANDUM OPINION

PRENTICE H. MARSHALL, District Judge.

Plaintiff Sandy Lewis alleges that he was arrested without probable cause on March 28, 1981 and held in custody on suspicion of being one “Murray Brown, alias Michael Lewis,” a person wanted for possession of controlled substances. Lewis asserts that the police determined through fingerprints that he was not Murray Brown but nevertheless charged him with Brown’s alleged offenses and transported him to the Cook County Department of Corrections (CCDOC) jail at 26th Street and California Avenue.
