Teamsters Local Union No. 688 (the Union), affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers of America, brought this breach of contract action against Crown Cork & Seal Company, Inc., (the Employer) seeking a money judgment representing the difference between actual contributions made by the Employer to an employees’ pension fund after April 1970, and the greater amounts allegedly required by the then-existing collective bargaining agreement between the parties.
