Burton v. Patton

This suit was a complaint for land, brought by Mrs. Evelyn Burton and others against J. E. Patton. Upon the trial of the case evidence was introduced by the plaintiffs and the defendant; and after the conclusion of the evidence the court, upon motion of the defendant, directed a verdict in his favor. Within the time provided by law plaintiffs filed a motion for a new trial, which was duly approved, and subsequently a brief of the evidence and an amendment to the motion were also filed and allowed.
