REAVLEY, Circuit Judge:
Clyde P. Willis, Jr., Robert H. Love, and Christopher R. Pieser were convicted of conspiracy to import marijuana into the United States and conspiracy to possess marijuana with intent to distribute. On appeal these defendants argue that (1) the Coast Guard illegally seized and searched their boat, (2) the trial court should have granted their motion for a directed verdict because of insufficient evidence that the defendants knew the boat carried marijuana, and (3) the trial court should have granted a mistrial because a government witness testified that the defendants’…
