The plaintiff brought this action as administrator of the estate of his deceased son, John Barbieri III, for damages as the result of his wrongful death. The plaintiff’s decedent was a passenger in an automobile operated by the defendant Maureen E. Taylor, and owned by her father, the defendant David A. Taylor, which crashed into a tree killing the decedent on July 6, 1979. The cause of the tragedy was clearly the negligent operation of the family vehicle by the defendant Maureen E. Taylor.
