Defendant, Felton B. Peck, Jr., was indicted for murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1969, ch. 38, secs. 9—1(a) (1), (a) (2), (a) (3)). After a jury trial in the circuit court of Cook County he was found guilty as charged and sentenced to 100 to 150 years in the penitentiary. He appeals.

Four issues are presented for review. Defendant’s first contention is that the court erred in not suppressing an alleged confession where at the hearing in the motion to suppress defendant testified that police induced him to give a statement by threats and a promise of immunity and the prosecution presented no evidence…
