I. INTRODUCTION

On June 8, 2012, Plaintiffs Chara Curtis, Cynthia Aldrich, and Alfred Currier filed a complaint seeking damages for breach of contract and copyright infringement. (Compl. (Dkt. # 1).) Plaintiffs are authors and illustrators of three children’s books. (Id. ¶ 11.) Plaintiffs allege in their complaint that Defendants Illumination Arts, Inc. (“IAI”), Illumination Arts Publishing, LLC (“IAP”), John Thompson, and Kim-mie Lynn Thompson breached the publishing contracts with respect to the three children’s books at issue…
