O’NIELL, Chief Justice.
The matter in contest in this suit, between Earl K. Long and James A. Gremillion, is the nomination by the Democratic party for the office of Secretary of State, to be voted on in the general election to be held on the 16th of April.' The nomination of a candidate for a state office by the Democratic party in Louisiana assures his election. And it is so stated in the pleadings of the parties to this suit.
