BACKGROUND

This case arose out of an unhappy business relationship between the defendant, Sequoia Pacific Systems Corporation [Sequoia] and Plastek, a subsidiary of the plaintiff Industrial General Corporation [IGC]. The fundamental dispute is not nearly as complex as the years of legal wrangling that eventually brought the parties before a federal jury.
