Pending before the Court are several motions concerning the right of Republic of Turkey to demolish its existing chancery building in the District of Columbia and construct a new and larger one. Several historic preservation groups, Concerned Citizens for Kalorama, Inc., Sheridan-Kalorama Histori cal Association and the National Trust for Historic Preservation (“plaintiffs” or “Sheridan-Kalorama”), oppose the proposed demolition and expansion, and have moved for summary judgment.
