William Faraday, a prisoner in the custody of the Connecticut Department of Corrections (“DOC”), brings this suit pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983, alleging a violation of his Eighth Amendment right to be free from cruel and unusual punishment. Faraday claims that defendant Dr. Edward Blanchette, Clinical Director of the DOC and the sole remaining defendant in this case, was deliberately indifferent to his known medical needs — specifically, several herniated migrated discs in his lower back — by failing to: (1) order an…
