Debt on a bond given to tbe plaintiff as sheriff of the county of Bristol, under Pub. Stat. R. I. cap. 207, § 20. Heard by the court on an agreed statement of facts.

The principal question in this case is, what rule is to be observed in chancerizing the bond in suit. The plaintiff contends that the defendants are liable for the full amount of the judgment recovered in the attachment suit; the defendants contend that they are at the most liable only for the value of the goods attached, which were surrendered when the bond was given. The decision of the question depends on the construction to be given to the condition of the bond.
