This case arises from the operation of a landfill by defendants, Wexford County, Wexford County Landfill, and the Wexford County Department of Public Works. Plaintiffs are property owners who allege that contaminants from the landfill entered their groundwater, causing property damage and other economic injuries. Defendants asserted a defense of governmental immunity.
