The principal issue in this appeal is whether there was sufficient evidence of negligence by the defendant to support a jury verdict in favor of the plaintiff. We also consider whether the verdict should be set aside on the alternative ground that the plaintiff was contributori ally negligent by exposing herself to a dangerous condition that was open and obvious.
