LUTTIG, Circuit Judge:

Appellant, Michelle Hodge, was injured by mirrors that fell from an upper shelf of a mirror display in a Richmond, Virginia, outlet of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (“Wal-Mart”). Hodge thereafter brought an action against Wal-Mart sounding in negligence.
