A general court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members convicted appellant, contrary to his pleas, of aggravated assault (2 specifications) and false swearing (1 specification) in violation of Articles 128 and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 928 and 934, respectively. The aggravated assault offenses concerned two separate incidents, one on July 2, 1995, and the other on September 1 of the same year.
