This isi an original proceeding in habeas corpus brought by the petitioner Bill Hall. He alleges that he is unlawfully imprisoned at McAlester, Okla., in the State Penitentiary by 0. P. Burford, warden thereof. The cause of his restraint he alleges to be a void judgment and sentence rendered out of the district court of Greek county, Okla., on August 14, 1940, issued by the judge thereof, the late 0. O. Beavers. In said judgment it appears he entered a plea of guilty to the crime of robbery with firearms and was sentenced to a term of 25 years in tbe State Penitentiary. It is admitted by Ms…
