This case comes before this Court on L’Oreal USA Products, Inc.’s motion for summary judgment (Docket #8). Paul Pighee filed this action against L’Oreal, his former employer, claiming that L’Oreal terminated his employment on the basis of his race and in retaliation for Pighee’s participation in protected activity. Pighee brings race and retaliation claims under Title VII, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e, First and Fourteenth Amendment claims under the United States Constitution, and claims for outrage, tortious interference, and slander under state common law.
