OPINION

MELISSA GOODWIN, Justice.

Appellant Nilda Uiana Rodriguez appeals from a judgment convicting her of the offense of felony murder for the death of her seven-week-old son. See Tex. Penal Code § 19.02(b)(3). For the reasons that follow, we affirm the judgment of conviction.

BACKGROUND

Rodriguez gave birth to her son on October 8, 2008. She had other children at the time. After her son was discharged from the hospital, Rodriguez was responsible for his care as well as her other children’s *630care. Her husband was overseas at the time.
