Appellant, Nilda Rodriguez, was charged with felony murder for the death of her two-month-old son. She was convicted and sentenced to 30 years in prison. Appellant appealed, initially challenging the validity of the indictment. The court of appeals, however, determined that she had not preserved this issue for appellate review. Rodriguez v.
