This cause comes to this court on appeal from the county court of Macon county. Clyde Songer, the stepfather, and Margaret Songer, the mother of Lynda Lou Walpole, a minor child, brought their petition to adopt Lynda Lou against Jesse Walpole, the father. The minor child and the mother, Margaret Songer, were named defendants to comply with the statutes in such case, but the dispute is over the refusal of the father, Jesse Walpole, to consent to the adoption.
