MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

PHILIP PRATT, Chief Judge.

1. INTRODUCTION

This is a patent infringement action which was filed on January 23, 1981. The non-jury trial began on October 19, 1981, consuming 34 days of trial and producing 4,143 pages of transcript and 283 exhibits. Final arguments were heard on June 10, 1982. On December 15, 1983 this court issued an opinion finding the plaintiff’s patent to be valid, that the defendants had infringed, and enjoining the defendants from any further infringement.
