KRAVITCH, Circuit Judge:

Robert Lee Alexander appeals from the district court’s denial of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus filed pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. We affirm.

I

On April 10, 1981, after a jury trial in Florida state court, Alexander was convicted of robbery, possession of a firearm while engaged in a criminal offense, obstructing justice, and grand theft. The state appellate court affirmed the convictions, Alexander v. State, 418 So.2d 432 (Fla.Dist.Ct.App.1982), and the petitioner is now serving a life sentence in state prison.
