Plaintiff Duane Ziemba is an inmate committed to the custody of the Commissioner of the Department of Correction for the State of Connecticut. He brings this action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 against ten officials of the Connecticut Department of Correction, based on an incident at Corrigan Correctional Institution. Specifically, plaintiff alleges that defendants Thomas, Fretard, Willard, Schefer, Fulcher, and Forrestal used excessive force against plaintiff on March 9, 1998 (“March 9 Incident”). 1…
