The relator in this case, and four other men, namely, Leon C. Weiss, F. Julius Dreyfous, Solis Seiferth, and Richard W. Leche, are charged in an indictment by the grand jury of Lincoln parish with the crime of obtaining fraudulently and feloniously, from the State of Louisiana, and the Louisiana State Board of Education, and Louisiana Polytechnic Institute, in Lincoln parish, the sum of $27,000, by means and use of a confidence game.
