Defendant, Richard Sullivan, appeals after the imposition of three consecutive sentences totaling 16 years on one count of Sodomy and two counts of Deviate Sexual Assault in violation of § 566.060 and § 566.070, RSMo 1986 (amended 1994). 1 In search of a new trial, defendant argues: (1) the trial court erred in admitting state’s exhibits 1, 2, and 3 and the pre-trial written statements of the complaining witness, on the grounds that the statements are hearsay, and their admission bolstered her in-court testimony; and, (2) the court erred in allowing the jury to view state’s…
