Kaplan v. Independent School District of Virginia

The school board of the independent school district of Virginia, Minnesota, was requested by the Ministerial Association of that city to place a copy of the Bible in every schoolroom and to direct the superintendent to make suitable selections to be read daily without note or comment by the teacher in each room at the opening of school.
