This was an action of unlawful detainer brought by A. L. Stover against Lewis Davis to recover the possession of a. tract of fifty acres of land in Raleigh county. About the last of May or the first of June, 1902, defendant Davis was placed in possession of the house and premises to hold *197possession for and under Stover, until about the first of March 1903. When possession was demanded of him by Stover Davis replied “Whenever you can show a better title than Mr. Crawford, that I have leased it from I will give you possession, but not before.’' Stover then brought his action of…
