SELYA, District Judge.
By Opinion and Order previously filed in this matter, Bank of New York v. Hoyt, 617 F.Supp. 1304 (D.R.I.1985) (BONY I), this court struck the affirmative defenses of usury raised by certain defendants and dismissed various usury-based counterclaims. Id., 617 F.Supp. at 1315. Among the defenses and counterclaims so annulled were those sponsored by the defendant Russell L. Hoyt.
