The defendant, Elizabeth Wunder, being desirous of remodeling a certain store building in Havre of which she was the owner, secured from the plaintiff, Lou Eskestrand, a contractor, an estimate of the cost of each item of repair to be made; the total cost to be $1,167. The defendant, being satisfied, directed the plaintiff to do the work. Subsequently additional improvements were made on the agreed basis of the cost of material and labor; these extras, as listed by the plaintiff, came to $318.49.
