This appeal comes before us on the agreed statement of the case under section 3679, Revised Code of 1928, raising but one question of law, which may be stated as follows:
Under the provisions of the Revised Code of 1928, may a statement of costs, filed by .the prevailing party in the supreme or superior court, he verified by the attorney instead of by the party himself?
The controversy is over an alleged conflict between two sections of that code. Section 1484 reads:
