I. Introduction

Debtors Jim Wiersma and Patty Wiers-ma (hereinafter “Debtors”) filed a petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code on October 1, 2001. A significant factor leading to Debtors’ financial problems stems from the electrical work performed by Gietzen Electric, Inc. (hereinafter “Gietzen”) at the Debtors’ dairy. Apparently, as a result of Gietzen’s alleged negligence in completing the job, Debtors’ dairy cows were subjected to varying degrees of electric shocks.
