OPINION

BOURCIER, Justice.

This case is before the court on the appeal of the plaintiff, Peerless Insurance Co. (Peerless), from a Superior Court denial of its motion for summary judgment. It has long been established in Rhode Island that as a general rule only final judgments are ap-pealable to this court. Murphy v.
