Introduction
The Board of Regents of Harris-Stowe State University (“the Board”) appeals from the judgment of the trial court entered following a jury trial. The jury found the Board liable for violating the Missouri Human Rights Act (“MHRA”)1 when it terminated the employment of Beverly W. Wilkins (‘Wilkins”). The jury awarded Wilkins $1,350,000 in compensatory damages and $3,500,000 in punitive damages. On appeal, the Board raises five points.
