The Missouri Veterans Commission, Executive Director Larry Kay, the Missouri Department of Public Safety, and the State of Missouri (collectively “MVC”) appeal from a judgment, entered upon a jury verdict, finding them liable for both sex and age discrimination, as well as retaliation, against former employee Patricia Rowe Kerr, all in violation of the Missouri Human Rights Act (MHRA),1 for which the jury awarded Kerr both compensatory and punitive damages totaling $2,875,000.
