This was a proceeding based on Comp. Laws 1907, sections 2021 to 2028, inclusive, to determine the alleged claim of the , defendant as an occupying claimant of the improvements placed on a certain lot in Salt Lake City.
1, 2 Briefly stated, the facts giving rise to this proceeding are as follows: Prior to 1904, and ever since, the record title to the premises in question was in the plaintiff. In 1904 one Harry Lawrence purchased the lot in question at a tax sale. He thereafter obtained a tax deed therefor.
