The petitioner, Romances Crawford, appeals following the denial of his petition for certifica tion to appeal from the judgment of the habeas court denying his pro se petition for a writ of habeas corpus. The petitioner claims that the habeas court abused its discretion in denying his petition for certification to appeal and his habeas petition seeking to withdraw his guilty plea under the Alford doctrine 1 on the ground that his trial counsel had provided him with ineffective assistance of counsel.
