ROSS, Circuit Judge.
This action was commenced in one of the courts of the state of Washington by the defendants in error, as plaintiffs, to recover damages alleged to have been sustained by Anna Gerow Howells, wife of her coplaintiff, by a fall into the hold of one of the defendant’s steamers. The defendant to the action moved the state court for the transfer of the cause to the Circuit Court of the United States for the District of Washington, which motion was granted on the 20th day of July, 1901.
