Peter Dana, a/k/a Peter Olsen, 1 was tried and convicted in Superior Court in Anchorage of the sale of one gram of cocaine in violation of A.S. 17.10.010. 2 He has preserved five points on appeal, contending that the trial court erred in 1) refusing to change the venue of his case to Talkeetna, where the offense occurred; 2) denying his motion to dismiss which he made because a prosecution witness, State Trooper Leo Brandlen, refused to submit to a pre-trial interview; 3) admitting a partially inaudible tape recording of the alleged drug sale to undercover…
