¶1 The district court dismissed Bobby Ne-vares’s action seeking to establish his paternity in and custody of a child he believes to be his son (Child). Child’s prospective adoptive parents (Adoptive Couple) intervened and moved to dismiss, arguing that the district court lacked subject matter jurisdiction under .the Utah Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA).
