EVERETT, Chief Judge:

Contrary to appellant’s pleas, a general court-martial convened at Rhein-Main Air Base, Federal Republic of Germany, in February, 1979, found him guilty of stealing mail matter, having unauthorized possession of classified documents, and failing to obey a regulation which prohibited taking classified documents off-base,1 in violation of Articles 134 and 92, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 934 and 892, respectively.
