THAYER, District Judge.
This is a suit on a life insurance policy for ?2,500, which was issued on April 9, 1884, by the Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States on the life of one Edward <1 ilicit. Hiett paid the annual premium which became due on said policy on the 5th day of April in each of the years 1885, 1886, 1887, and 1888, but failed io pay the premium which became due on April 5, 1889.
