KRAMER, Judge:

The appellant, Johnny Spencer, appeals a May 29, 1997, decision of the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA or Board) that, inter alia, denied a claim for service connection for residuals of a right knee injury (claim 1) and denied entitlement to an increased disability rating for service-connected residuals of an injury to the left hand and wrist, currently rated as 10% disabling (claim 2).
