The respondents brought this action against the appellants to set aside a tax deed, quiet title to, and recover possession of, certain real property situated in King county. In their complaint, after alleging title and right of possession in themselves, they alleged, that the appellants had purchased the property at a tax sale, and had entered into possession under the title so acquired, and had subsequently paid certain taxes on the property, the precise amount of which they could not ascertain, although inquiry had been made of the appellants for the purpose of ascertaining the amount; that…
